Project
WCIT is the signature event of the World Information Technology & Services Alliance (WITSA), a consortium of ICT associations from 83 countries, representing 90% of the industry.
Problem
The first step was to identify the key user groups for the WCIT event application. These include attendees, speakers, exhibitors, and organizers. Each group had different needs and expectations, so it's important to understand their unique requirements.
Research
The next step was to research the existing WCIT website to gather insights on the event's goals, audience, and features. This research included analyzing the website's content, layout, pages, and user interface to identify areas of improvement.
User persona
User personas helped to define the users' goals, needs, behaviors, and pain points. We created based on the insights gained from the website research. We separated personas into 2 groups. Personas who where from Yerevan and from US / EU. In general the needs and goals of users from Europe and US coincided.

Insights
The location of the event was the one of the most important things for user, especially for users abroad. Conducting with them we understood that it’s important how to get a taxi, is there any taxi application? Is there a shuttle service? How they can rent a car and parking near to the venue is available or not?
User interview
Through user interviews, we sought feedback from our website users regarding their experience with our existing website. We inquired about any perceived information gaps, solicited suggestions for potential improvements, and gathered insights on desired features they would like to see added.
Results
By conducting interviews we get some points.
An attendee wants to find a specific session or speaker within the app
An attendee needs to find information about the venue, such as maps or directions
An attendee wants to connect with other attendees through the app's social networking features
An attendee wants to know information about breakfast, lunch, coffee, smoking areas.
Insights
By conducting users from abroad we understood what kind of content to add in application. For sentence in website we had visa information (page), but most of the people didn’t want to stay more than a week or two, because the main reason to come Yerevan was WCIT event, not the traveling. And visa information was necessarily only for people who wanted to stay more than 90 days.
Also in website there were information about hotel, but most of our app users were already booked hotels and they needed more information about places where could hangout and drink.
Design process
As we had brand identity and in general the style, and also I worked on the website and it was easy to work on that we skipped the wireframe process and started to create the flow with real images.
